Representative Don Parsons News ATLANTA -  April 21, 2014 - Today, Governor  Nathan Deal  signed into  law, HB 176, the Broadband Infrastructure Leads to Development (BILD) Act. This legislation  streamlines the permitting procedure by local governing authorities for cell towers and structures. It also limits the amount that can be charged by those local governments for permits. The demand for cellular bandwidth continues  to grow at  a phenomenal  rate. This bill is im-portant  for  public safety, economic development, the  downloading and uploading of data by business and families, and the ability for Georgia to remain a leader in telecommunications.
