Speaker David Ralston appoints Rep. Don Parsons to the Joint Study Committee on the Property Tax Digest Impact on Education Funding

ATLANTA - June 18, 2014  Speaker David Ralston announced today that he has appointed State Representaive Don Parsons. R-Cobb County to serve on the Joint Study Committee on the Property Tax Digest Impact on Education Funding. Representative Parsons has been a leader in the legislature for providing needed funding for the public school systems throughout the state. He has also sought to make certain that local school systems are doing all that they can to provide their share through efficiencies and adequate local funding. "It is an an honor to be appointed to this joint committee", Parsons told a gathering. "I look forward to working with the representatives and senators on the committee to find solutions to providing the best education for the children of Georgia".
